Evaluation of Shooting Day
First of all our group gathered together and we went to the
location where we were going to shoot our music video. We discussed any
issues that might occur. We talked through our props, lightening, the
background and thought of any other interesting ideas which we could imagine.
Afterwards me and Anna went to IT department to ask for the projector, so we won’t
worry about it on the shoot day. Basically our aim was to fully prepare for the
shoot day and therefore run it as smooth as possible
One might say that the feeling were incredible, being excited
and intrigued , but honestly since knowing that everything is prepared and the
issues were illuminated I woke up in a calm manner without the sense of urgency
In the morning we went to the studio and waited for all the
cast members to arrive. Once they came we briefly showed them how our music
video would look like and which other music videos are similar to our one. We
also checked whether they were wearing what we asked them on the previous day,
since it was really important for their cloths to match our music genre.
As already said, we have worked really hard for the
preparation of the set, which made our life much easier on the actual shoot
day. The preparation involved as I said already taking the projector from IT
and also gluing the walls and sticking wallpaper. Afterwards we coloured the
walls from white to black to make a contrast and also had tube lights forming a
triangle making the video to appear more creative
All our members of the group worked really hard doing our
best to achieve what we want. Since I did drama and achieved a very high score,
it was personally easier for me to work with our actors helping them with their
body language, facial expressions and picking on what they shouldn’t do in
front of camera. I also worked with directing the music, making it slower or
faster and helping the drummer to match with the beat
In my opinion, having the drama skills allowed me to achieve
exactly what I wanted from our actors. Helping them how to move, making them
look more confident and eventually feel infused with the song itself
That’s the question which I think will have similar answers,
since our slow-motion part of the music video was amazing. All of us really
enjoyed that part. The slow-motion required for our band members to play twice
faster, which was quite difficult, but luckily having the energy
and enthusiasm they achieved the task
and enthusiasm they achieved the task
The only issue which I was concern of was that our guitarist
on the right hand side by persistently covered by singer, which did not allow
him to fully play his role. The position was a little bit distorted and we should
have moved our band slightly to the left, however it is not a major problem at
all and we are still totally happy
We were carefully choosing our cast members, since it was
important for us to have actors who have the ability to perform and play their
instruments. We also gave them to listen the whole week to our music for them
to get used, so it would be easier on the actual shoot day. During the process
and at the end of the day we were absolutely amazed with their talent and
ability. The friendly atmosphere which the band members created was really pleasant.
They helped each other and corporate, since they also wanted for the music
video to look good. At the end of the day all of us were really satisfied and
happy
The part which I am mostly excited to see is the slow-motion
part, since I really liked the concept of it. It looked really unnatural and
unusual which makes it appear unique
We perfectly worked together, without having any arguments
or disagreements, but harmony and respect
There are undoubtedly a lot to learn from, such as understanding
more in-depth how actors work and what gives them the drive and the motion.
Moreover it developed our imagination, since we had to think of different ideas
which we could apply for our music video. Personally I think that everything
went as we wanted and there would be no changes applied.
To sum it all up we really worked hard from the beginning when
we were just brainstorming ideas to the shoot day where we also had to put our
effort. We were really lucky with our cast members as they had the same
willingness to make the music video look nice. We had a fair division of
labour, thus making our task easier. And eventually all of us were happy after
the shoot day, since the effort and the hard work were worth it

Album Cover
Our aim was for make a simple, but unique album cover. The photographs used would be pictures of our band, the set, or the location. The remaining aim is to have the face of the soloist in a framed portrait covering half of the face with the box

Our CD Cover
Personally I have been inspired by albums covers where you could see all members of the band, showing the importance of each of them, but putting forward the solist. Specifically this one, where you can see the faces of the members behind, while their body is mixed with the dark colour and having the solist in the front with a different colour of cloths, highlighting him as being the key member of the band.
