What does Thriller mean and it's types


                                                                    What is a thriller?..............................


Thriller is one of the kinds of genre used in TV programs, film which uses tension, excitement and fear as the main elements. Thrillers heavily affect the person’s mood, depending on the kind of thriller the person watches. Such films are meant to be adrenalin-rushing, fast-paced and emotional.
The main aim for thriller is to make the audience to be watchful and to make them insight into the film. But it is also quit difficult for director and other participants of the movie to make the aim to success.
Most of the thriller movies involve characters to come into conflict with each other. The atmosphere is a creepy and sudden violence, such as situations in crime and murder. Movies with such genre present world and society as dark, corrupt and dangerous. The tension builds up step by step, but the most emotional moment comes when character steps into mysterious situation, or gets into trap. Thrillers take place often in suburbs, cities or sometimes in exotic settings such as foreign country, cities, deserts, Polar Regions or high seas.
 There several types of thriller. The different types are: Conspiracy Thriller, Political Thriller, Spy Film Thriller, Psychological Thriller and Techno-thrillers.

Conspiracy Thriller:  The main characters of such thriller are often journalists or investigators who are getting into a trap.  Where the main point of the movie is often followed by lies, rumours, propaganda. A part of a such type of thriller fiction work can also be considered as being secret history.
Example of The Conspiracy Thriller (or paranoid thriller) include: V for Vendetta- shadowy freedom fighter known only as "V" uses terrorist tactics to fight against his Totalitarian society. Syriana-A CIA agent, an energy analyst, and an antitrust lawyer are embroiled in a web of corruption and assassination involving Big Oil. The International- An Interpol agent investigating a shadowy banking cartel discovers money laundering, political corruption, war profiteering, and assassination plots.


Political Thriller: It is a thriller where the backdrop of a political power struggle.  It usually involves extra-legal plots, mad to make someone powerful in government, and made up opponent who is trying to stop the powerful governor. International politicians or politics could be involved too, to make the movie more interesting, by showing the audience about different countries’ politics. Political corruption, terrorism and warfare are mostly the common themes. Some of the movies of Political thriller are based on true facts.
Examples of Political Thriller are: The Conversation -A paranoid and personally-secretive surveillance expert has a crisis of conscience when he suspects that a couple he is spying on will be murdered. Z-.... Following the murder of a prominent leftist, an investigator tries to uncover the truth while government officials attempt to cover up their roles. The Crying Game- A British soldier is kidnapped by IRA terrorists. He befriends one of his captors, who is drawn into the soldier's world.
 

Spy Thriller:  Is mainly about government agents and their risk of being discovered by their enemies. From the earlier movies about Nazi and until nowadays movies about 007 are being still popular. Such type of thriller has been always popular among worldwide audience. The Spy film combines variety of themes, like action, science fiction, exiting escapism and technological thrill. It clearly presents the hero whom audience will support.
Example are: Obviously the most famous Spy Thriller movie is the series of James Bond. Which have always been popular among the whole world. And of course the Bourne film series are being popular until nowadays. There also might be comedies included in Spy Thriller movies, as an example Duplicity is one such kind. It is a 2009 American romantic comedy spy film written and directed by Tony Gilroy, and starring Clive Owen and Julia Roberts. The plot follows two corporate spies with a romantic history who collaborate to carry out a complicated con.


Psychological Thriller. Is a film with heavy focus on the main character, it is a combination of mystery and thriller. Particular in this type of thriller there is no physical power used to overcome enemies, there is a mental power which dominates.  This kind of thriller is the most emotional and the most difficult to watch in terms of tension and emotions the person gets watching such kind of movie. It involves mystery and uncovered plot, which is released at the end of the movie, or even sometimes when the movie comes to the end, the mystery is still not solved.
Examples are: The Talented Mr Ripley -in late 1950s New York, Tom Ripley, a young underachiever, is sent to Europe to retrieve a rich and spoiled millionaire playboy, named Dickie Greenleaf. But when the errand fails, Ripley takes extreme measures.  Fatal Attraction- A married man's one night stand comes back to haunt him when that lover begins to stalk him and his family. The Game- Wealthy financier Nicholas Van Orton gets a strange birthday present from wayward brother Conrad: a live-action game that consumes his life.
