Piracy Problem

                                                                    Piracy
In contemporary society the problem called 'Piracy' is becoming more and more dangerous. As society develops more and more users start to illegally download music from the Internet which has a significantly negative effect on music industry. If you ask randomly several people outside if they never downloaded music illegally there wont be many agreeing with that. As technology develops it becomes more easier to download illegally music which is free now, whereas before it was for money. This causes a very hard time for music and film industry, since they profits are bing enormously cut. What does that actually mean for the future? - That it will make the products either cheap or even free and if industries do not come up with something, an alternative source for their profits, the industries might collapse

Some of the artists are brave enough to have their word and defend their rights against piracy. One of such examples was Lily Allen. She argued it was easy for them to get on the freebie bandwagon as they'd  already made money from the music industry before the advert of digital piracy, but most younger artists would never get the chance to even make a living from music if such problem continues. This out loud opinion of her made her the target of thousands of incredibly abusive messages- even death threats- so much that she shut down her web-site. No wonder artists think twice before speaking out.
