Task 1 - Conventions of the album cover

Artist name or the band's title

In all of the CD digipacks we can see either the band name or the artists name. Since we are promoting the whole band, it would be wrong to have only singer’s name on the CD digipack. The convention of CD digipack is that the name of the band or artist is always written in bold letters, thus highlighting  the brand image

Barcode and copyright

It might be seen as insignificant, however it let audience to know that first of all, the product is available for purchase and the actual number of barcode allows finding the product and buying it. Copyright is another convention for the CD digipacks and is essential since it protects any type of illegal practises such as copying the existing ideas

List of the songs on the CD

Our product is not finalised yet, however we are planning to also provide consumers with the list of the songs, which are on the CD. This is a convention, which is also important, since it allows people to see what other songs there are on CD.
